Ms. Jeong Hyun Ju is a registered Patent Attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is versatile in the following technologies and services:

  • Licensing & Opinion Letters (commercializing technology, developing licensing agreements, analyzing and rendering opinions on patentability, freedom to operate, validity, invalidity, and infringement)
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Board (analyzing if rejections are improper, without basis, or with factual or legal errors, presenting request for pre-appeal conferences, and filing appeal brief)

  • Computer Hardware and Software (computer architecture, computer implemented business methods, and semiconductors)
  • Telecommunications (wireless data communications, signal processing technologies, mobile devices, wireless power technologies)
  • Battery Charging Systems (management of battery, alternator, wiring and electronic control units for automobiles, turbines and generators)

Background

Ms. Ju started her career in intellectual property law at Daewoo Electronics upon completing her electrical engineering degree. As Manager for the IP Team, she handled patent prosecution and analysis for digital media products.

Ms. Ju moved to Samsung Electronics’ and became Senior Manager of the IP Team. She gained tremendous knowledge in numerous projects, ranging from qualify control of patent specifications and responses, to commercialization and licensing of technology to consumer electronic companies.

Ms. Ju aspired to become a patent attorney because she was motivated to provide broader services to clients. She completed her J.D. at the School of Law of the University of New Hampshire. In addition, she successfully achieved bar admissions in the State of New York, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Ms. Ju is well suited to serve clients worldwide because of her combined IP management experience in Korea, and her multiple jurisdictional qualifications in the U.S. Her comprehensive patent prosecution skills and insightful legal analysis are well respected by her colleagues.
