Background
Mr. Baek started his professional journey as a software, IT system/network engineer, gaining experience with IT venture companies and KT (Korea Telecom) in South Korea, and Mercy Ships Anastasis, an International NGO, in Africa.
Following the completion of a J.D. and obtaining a bar license in
Alabama in the United States, he joined Y. P. Lee, Mock &
Partners, where he developed in-depth knowledge and experience in
patent drafting and prosecutions across various jurisdictions, including
the U.S., Europe, South Korea, Japan, and China.
Expanding his legal practice, he served as in-house legal counsel for
Doosan Enerbility and LG, handling diverse IP matters such as licensing, R&D
contracts, international arbitration, IP due diligence for M&A, IP
compliance, and trade secret management.
Complementing his legal expertise, he pursued an LL.M. law study at
Franklin Pierce School of Law for an additional year. Afterwards, he
moved to the U.S. and joined Harvest IP Law.
With this comprehensive background, Mr. Baek brings strong patent
prosecution skills, insightful legal advice, and a passionate approach to
serving clients. His clients and colleagues enjoy working with him
because of his professional attitude and friendly personality.
Mr. Baek and his wife are proud parents of 3 children. Their family
enjoy the transition to living in northern Virginia, where they find
plenty of sports and activities in a friendly community.
